On the other hand, Samsung B3410 is a 2G Network GSM set working on 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900. Both the sets were announced within a gap of one month; Samsung B3410 was released a month after the announcement of Genio Slide in September 2009. The main difference shows up in Samsung’s B5310 being a Full keyboard set, whereas Samsung’s B3410 a keyboard set.
Taking the difference in display of the two models, Samsung’s B5310 accounts for TFT resistive touchscreen, 16 M colors whereas B3410 fitted with simple TFT touchscreen, 256K colors. However, the display screen resolutions of both go for the same 240 x 320 pixels. The difference comes again in the screen size, which are 2.8 inches in B5310 and 2.6 inches in B3410. Accelerometer sensor for auto-rotate is an additional feature of the display of Genio Slide (B5310). On the features of memory, Genio Slide takes the lead with its internal memory of 150 MB, expandable up to 16 GB with microSD card. Samsung B3410 follows the suite with 30 MB internal memory that is expandable up to 8GB with microSD. However, both go hand in hand with Phonebook of 1000 contacts entries, Photo call and call record features.
Samsung Genio Slide boasts of 3.15 MP of 2048×1536 pixels featuring QVGA @15fps video recording and smile detection. Samsung B3410 houses a 2 MP of 1600×1200 pixels featuring QVGA @13fps video recording. There is Geo-tagging facility and a secondary camera in the former handset only. Radio Stereo FM radio with RDS, FM recording is common to both the sets. The striking similarity also goes for Black body of both the sets.
